The lessons I’ve learned from being dependent on others

Today is the three-week “anniversary” of my hysterectomy, and I’m over at Simple Mom, sharing three life lessons I’ve learned while I’ve been recovering from surgery. From the post:

As a work-at-home mom of five, I have long prided myself on being a person who Gets Stuff Done. I fancy myself the female version of Carson in my own much smaller and remarkably-less-grand version of Downton Abbey.

Sure, I delegate around my house…but even delegating requires attention, action, and the presence of Yours Truly.

So when I found out that I would need to have surgery this spring, I took the news pretty hard.

I’d love for you to head over and read the post, then let me know what you think: Have you ever been in a position where you’ve had to lean on others for help? What did it teach you?
